This page explains how cookies are used on the Abbeyfield Northumbria website and how you can manage your choices. Cookies are small files stored by your browser.
Your choice
Google Analytics is disabled until you accept analytics cookies. You can choose Accept analytics or Reject analytics on the banner. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using our website or enquiry forms.
To change your choice, use the Cookie settings link in the footer, or open cookie settings. Select Analytics, change the switch and save your settings. Your cookie preference is remembered for up to 365 days, unless you clear it sooner.

This essential cookie remembers your choice, including when you reject analytics. It remains after analytics is turned off so we can honour your preference.

|---|---|---|
| moove_gdpr_popup | Stores your cookie consent choices. | Up to 365 days. |

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and how our website is used, so we can improve it. Google receives technical information about your device and browsing activity on this website. These cookies are only enabled after you accept analytics.

| _ga | Helps distinguish visitors. | Two years by default. |
| _ga_GC3NCEN6KK | Helps maintain information about a visit. | Two years by default. |
Browser limits and Analytics settings may shorten these lifetimes. See Google’s cookie information and Google’s privacy policy.
Staff login and administration cookies
These cookies relate to the WordPress staff login and administration area. They are not needed for ordinary browsing of the public website and are separate from optional analytics.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_* wordpress_sec_* | Maintain an authorised staff member’s signed-in session. | Session, or approximately two weeks when “Remember me” is selected; login settings may vary. |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks whether the browser accepts cookies when the login page is used. | Session. |
| wp-settings-* wp-settings-time-* | Remember a signed-in staff member’s editor and administration preferences. | Up to one year. |
The * represents a variable part of the cookie name, such as an account identifier. A session cookie normally lasts until the browser session ends. Turning off analytics does not remove the cookies needed to remember your choice or support staff sign-in.
